The idea behind “Wild Salsa” began with a need to bring authentic cultura Mexicana and cuisine to downtown Dallas. In the Texas spirit, we wanted to create a restaurant that brought together pride, celebration and bold flavor for an experience that is truly deliciosa. And the experience is just the beginning. You deserve lo mejor, and being from Texas (with such rich Mexican culture and tradition all around us) we wanted to bring you the best cuisine Mexico has to offer, which is why we use only locally grown and cultivated ingredients for a fresher, more flavorful taste.
At “Wild Salsa,” we want you to feel as comfortable as you would at home. So, ándale! There are plenty of tequilas to sample, and unique salsas for tasting. And it goes without saying that our Mexican-inspired food will leave you queriendo más.
But Mexican restaurants should be more than just tasty, authentic food. True to Latin culture — especially to the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos where people gather with their favorite foods and beverages — the skull (or calavera) is used as a symbol of celebration and life. Even a take on José Guadalupe Posada’s famous print La Calavera de la Catrina (The Skeleton of the Female Socialite) can be seen in the main sala. To keep in line with the Mexican holiday theme, other beverages — most commonly tequila — are used for toasting and drinking, which is why we always recommend trying one of our deliciosas margaritas.
We believe every Texas town deserves an authentic Mexican restaurant. You’re with familia, so take the time to sit back, relax, have a drink or two and show us your “Wild” side. You can never be too “Wild” in here. We dare you to try!
